The new design will be refined and elegant. It will be a similar height and shape to the scheme Wandsworth Council has already agreed. Instead of luxury penthouse suites, it will include about 213 co-living studio apartments. The Sports Hall for the Harris Academy will be built and in use within six months of Wandsworth giving the new scheme the go-ahead. The ground floor and basement of the new building will provide a large amount of communal space for a mix of public and private use. There will be an inviting entrance including new paving and lighting to the street outside and shrub planting.

Council agreed scheme
New scheme

The new shape of the building presents a refined profile and more attractive skyline. It will retain its modern facades with high quality finishes. It will be environmentally friendly with rooftop garden terraces. The use of the existing foundations and basement already in place will be beneficial for the carbon footprint of the project. This should also ensure that the building works are completed as quickly as possible ending the eyesore of the abandoned excavation works and foundations.

The scheme will offer residents a large amount of amenity space split over both the basement and ground floors. This will include co-working spaces, cinema room, gym, treatment rooms and a cafeĢ which will be a mix of publicly accessible and private.
